APC Plotting To Doctor WAEC Result For Buhari – APP Chairman

The Chairman of Action Peoples Party, Mr Ikenga Ugochinyere, on Thursday alerted the Nation of “an ongoing move by desperate chieftains of the APC to tamper with records in WAEC and upload a computer designed result which is aimed at misleading the public in a desperate attempt to escape the disqualification of the candidate (Mr. Buhari), who has not met constitutional requirements to participate in the 2019 presidential election.”

Mr. Ugochinyere raised the alarm in a statement, disclosing that he had filed a suit before the Federal High Court in Abuja seeking to disqualify President Muhammadu Buhari from participating in the 2019 presidential election due to Buhari’s “constitutional ineligibility” (failure to submit his WEAC result, as required by law).

Ugochinyere, who is also the spokesperson for the alliance of opposition parties under the umbrella of the Coalition of United political Parties, said he is seeking an order of court to compel the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to produce the certified true copy of the ledger containing all the students of the Provincial Secondary School, Katsina in Katsina State, who sat for the 1961 examination alongside Buhari.

He called on WAEC to preserve its age-long integrity by resisting any move to doctor the results of students who sat for the 1961 exam.

The staement read partly, “The plaintiff is also seeking to nullify INEC’s publication of President Buhari’s name as one of the candidates for the 2019 election because he was not educated up to the minimum requirement and did not provide any evidence of his being educated up to at least school certificate level or its equivalent.”

According to Mr. Ugochinyere this desperate last-minute attempt by the APC leadership “is to avert the disgrace and humiliation their candidate will suffer at the ongoing lawsuit which they have no defence.”

Recall that President Buhari again failed to submit his school certificate to INEC, claiming that it is in the custody of the military, forgetting that he is the commander-in-chief.

He was the only one out of the 79 presidential candidates who failed to submit his school certificate to the electoral body.
